Back to School Vaccine Clinic Sept. 2

In partnership with Metro Health, Northwest Vista College will host a pop-up clinic for back-to-school and COVID-19 vaccines on Friday, Sept. 2 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. in Mountain Laurel Hall 101A & 101B. All employees and the community are welcome. Metro Health will be providing Pfizer, Moderna, and J&J COVID-19 doses (1st and 2nd doses, and boosters), and vaccines

Food, Internet, and Shelter

Kudos to Northwest Vista College’s Lisa Black who co-authored an article titled “Food, Internet, and Shelter: What Emergency Services Did Community College Students Prioritize During the COVID-19 Pandemic?” Lisa, who is NVC’s director of Advocacy Services, co-authored the article with Zachary Taylor, PhD, of the Trellis Company. Health Screening & Testing Before Coming to Campus

Answer the COVID-19 screening questions before you come to campus (click here for form). When you arrive, show the approval screen, have your temperature taken, and receive a wristband for that day. Those who can’t do it electronically will still have a health screening done in person by asking them questions. Employees, students and community members are encouraged to wear masks.

Incentives for COVID-19 Vaccine Reporting

The Alamo Colleges District Human Resources Department in collaboration with District, college administration and the Board of Trustees have created incentives for voluntary COVID-19 vaccine reporting. These incentives include the following: All full-time, benefited employees (faculty and staff) who have been vaccinated and register on the site will receive an additional 8 hours of personal leave. The
