It’s that season again, folks. Holiday time. Food, friends, family, festivities and for some, this season includes setting up a holiday tree.

[image 1]On Dec. 5, at St. Philip’s College, the Alamo Colleges Foundation hosted the annual Chancellor’s Donor Appreciation Luncheon.
Four area business leaders talked to NVC Business Student Organization members the morning of Nov. 22 about “real world” experiences and answered questions ranging from the importance of community service on a resume to how important a good GPA is to how long those in the hiring process spend reading a resume.
[image 1]About 15 NVC students, who are a part of NVC clubs and organizations, and three Student Success staff members recently attended the 2013 Adelante Leadership Institute conference in San Antonio.

Across the U.S. on Veterans Day, there will be numerous events and celebrations to honor the men and women of the Armed Forces.
With the completion of our new Prickly Pear parking garage this fall, we gained much needed additional parking spaces on campus, but we gained something else too…solar power!
NVC has successfully managed over $5,395,276 in state, federal, and foundation grants. Taken together, the grants and scholarships program, play a vital role in helping NVC test new pedagogical approaches, obtain professional development, and outreach into the community through supporting academic and technical degree plans.
