College Readiness and Success Models Grant

Congratulations to Caroline Kuyumcuoglu, who oversees Northwest Vista College’s Supplemental Instruction for INRW. She was recently awarded a 2023 College Readiness and Success Models grant from the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board in the amount of $100,000. Caroline is leading the grant, serving as project director, with Dr. June Pedraza serving as the co-project director.

VP Debi Gaitan Accepted to Harvard Graduate Institute

Northwest Vista College Vice President for Student Success Debi Gaitan was accepted into the highly competitive Harvard University Graduate Institute for Educational Management (IEM). She also recieved financial sponsorship to attend from Alamo Colleges Chancellor Mike Flores. IEM is an eight-day/96-clock hour comprehensive and engaging learning program that is preceeded by 40 hours of prep-work.
