Three Northwest Vista College librarians will have chapters in a new book about library outreach to be published by the Association of College and Research Libraries. “Add a Dash of Tuscany: Book Discussions that Go Beyond the Book,” co-authored by Norma Velez-Vendrell and Amanda Gorrell, is about the programs they facilitate every semester for NVC’s Academy of Lifelong Learning.

The 5th Annual Student Success Summit was held on March 31 at Palo Alto College. The theme of this year’s summit was “Motivating Students to Engage Early, Engage Often.” The participants were from all five colleges, the district support office, and external partners. This year’s event had a record-breaking attendance with near 400 attendees.

NVC Counseling Services partnered with The Center for Healthcare Services (CHCS) and UNIFY (a SAMHSA grant-funded, community-based organization) to provide sexual health information, STD prevention and other resources to our students.
