NVC Psych Represent at Regional Conference

Northwest Vista College Psychology department rocked the annual meeting of the Southwestern Psychological Association (SWPA) March 31 to April 2 in San Antonio.

NVC Professor of Psychology, Dr. Don Lucas, instructors of Psychology Anna Evans, Jen Fox, and Cindy Jacox, and NVC staff member, Gerona Nylander, along with more than 20 current and former NVC Psychology major students attended the annual SWPA meeting.

In addition to attending workshops, invited talks, research symposia, poster sessions, and research paper sessions—several students (listed below) along with faculty presented their original research to standing-room-only audiences.

Current Northwest Vista College psychology major students:

  • Current NVC Psychology students: Tashe Pecev and Matthew Wheeler
  • Former NVC Psychology students:  Gerona Nylander (a graduate of Texas A & M University, now with NVC Public Relations office), Callie Roberts (a senior at Our Lady of the Lake University), Zach Hanich (a senior at Texas A & M University), Alex Gurian (a senior at the University of Texas San Antonio), Scott Lee (a senior at Texas A & M University), and Anthony Sanchez (a graduate of Incarnate Word University, now with The Health and Human Services Commission of Texas).
