Melinda Zepeda and Marisela Barrera, of the NVC English Department, recently held a reading of selected creative works at “Towards an Aesthetics of South Texas Women Artists Conference” held at Texas A&M University, Kingsville. Librarian Wins Scholarship to Attend Conference

Kudos to NVC’s newest librarian, Rose Rodriguez, for winning a $1,000 scholarship to attend the Joint Conference for Librarians of Color (JCLC) September 26-30 in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Ten different library associations provided scholarship funds to give library employees the chance to network and participate in professional development on topics surrounding race, accessibility, and leadership.
