NVC faculty member Denise Tolan's short story, “Saying Goodbye to an Aetheist” was recently published online by The Great American Literary Magazine.
Northwest Vista College staff council meets on a monthly basis to represent the concerns of employees, to serve as a communications link among employees to administrators, and to provide input on Alamo Colleges policy, budget and guidelines for the benefit of the staff.
The site team from the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools – Commission on Colleges was more than impressed with the competence and quality of teaching and support services provided by NVC. And of course they were wowed by the beauty of our college.

Northwest Vista College received a $2.4 million Individual Title V Grant for Hispanic-Serving Institutions from the U.S. Department of Education.
