Student Development Helps Increase Spring Registration

In mid-October, the Student Development office began their Bi-Annual Registration Ready Campaign.

The goal of the campaign was to ensure first-time in college (FTIC) students enrolled in EDUC 1300, SDEV 0370 & SDEV 0171 (academically dismissed student) are registration ready for the spring 2019 semester.

During the campaign, EDUC 1300/SDEV faculty would send their students to the Student Development office and staff would screen students and check their accounts for holds.

In that phase of the campaign, the Student Development office assisted more than 800 FTIC students. The campaign culminated with a registration lab on November 16. The registration lab was a cross-college effort with representatives from the Student Development, Advising, Enrollment Services, Math, and English departments. The registration lab assisted 294 students with spring registration.

Representatives from the various departments recently met to assess the campaign and make improvements for the spring 2019 campaign. This semester’s campaign was integrated into the department’s 4DX project which focused on meaningful interactions and transactions with EDUC 1300 and SDEV students.
