Five Northwest Vista College students were awarded scholarships of $2,100 each for two semesters through funding from the Microsoft Community Empowerment Fund. Presenting Geography at Social Sciences Conferences

Scott Walker, ScEdD, Northwest Vista College Geography program coordinator, will present two accepted presentations at the International Organization of Social Sciences and Behavioral Research Conference in San Antonio on Oct. 31. Scott’s presentations are “Low-Cost Tech for Ethnographic Landscape Investigations with Community College Students” and “Visual Geography: Teaching Geography through Photography.”
