Sign Up for CompassionateAlamo Design Lab by Nov. 17

Imagine a workplace where everyone feels respected, valued, and supported. Where compassion is the norm, and where everyone is working together to create a more positive and productive world. This is the vision of the CompassionateAlamo Design Lab, and we invite you to join us in making it a reality.

The CompassionateAlamo Design Lab is a cohort-based learning experience that will teach you how to bring more compassion into your work, your team, and your community. Participants will learn from leaders in the field of compassion, and will have the opportunity to develop and implement a compassion project in their workplace.

Please check out the information below and consider applying, or forward this email to colleagues who you believe may have an interest in participating.

The program will begin Spring 2024 and will include:

  • A 1.5 offsite retreat to convene as a cohort, review core compassion topics, and explore ideas for the project design (February 8-9, 2024)

  • Face-to-face and virtual workshops where you will design and refine a project that incorporates compassion skills in your work environment. (March 1, March 22, April 5, 2024)

  • A poster presentation and reception to showcase your project and celebrate your achievements with other participants and guests. (May 3, 2024)

  • A signed certificate from the mayor and the chancellor, CUSA swag, the title of CUSA Compassionista Fellow, a celebration reception.

  • Optional opportunities for community engagement during the summer.

  • A chance to put your project into action!

To be eligible for the CompassionateAlamo Design Lab, you need to have supervisor approval (see form here), submit an application (see application here) by November 17th, 2023, and complete the micro-course on Coursera (can register here) by January 15th, 2024.
