Students may now apply for 2016-2017 Youth Education Foundation Scholarships offered by the Rotary Club of San Antonio. The deadline for submitting applications is Friday, April 8, 2016. Scholarships in the amount of $500 to $2,000 will be awarded.
To be eligible for the scholarship, students must be currently enrolled in an accredited college or university, a full-time resident of South Teas, a full-time undergraduate/graduate during the 2015-2016 school year and have a 2.0 or higher cumulative GPA. High school seniors who are enrolled in a dual credit program are not eligible for this scholarship.
Criteria for selection include character, leadership, service, financial need and scholastic ability.
The application is an online application and applications must be submitted via the Web. At the end of the application, students will be asked to upload a Financial Statement Form, Community Service Form (both of these are on the website) and an essay on past and current involvement with the San Antonio community as well as future plans for involvement. A transcript from current college or university and letter of recommendation from a professor are also required.
