Northwest Vista College welcomes Erin Sherman as the new vice president of College Services. She officially joined the NVC family on June 1.
Erin’s professional background has prepared her well for the vice president of College Services. She comes to NVC from Texas A&M University–Corpus Christi, where she has served since 2009, briefly as a research grant accountant and then as the research compliance and export control officer. She also brings private sector experience as an accountant at KPMG, LLP, and LMP Exploration Operating, LLC.
Erin is a graduate of Palo Alto College with an associate’s degree in Agribusiness. She received a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration – Accounting (Magna Cum Laude) and a master of Accountancy from Texas A & M University–Corpus Christi.
Erin is a lifetime professional division member of Future Business Leaders of America – Phi Beta Lambda and serves the national organization’s leadership as a member of the National Awards Program Committee.
Additionally, she has participated on many committees at Texas A & M University–Corpus Christi including the Institutional Effectiveness Council, the IRB, the Strategic Planning Collaboration Committee, and the Ethics and Compliance Committee. Erin has also participated as a team member of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges.
