NVC Dean for Student Success
It’s hard to believe we have passed the mid-point of the fall 2021 semester! It is great to see students, faculty, and staff enjoying our beautiful campus once again.
The NVC department of Student Life is excited to offer multiple opportunities for students to get involved and engaged in both virtual and face-to-face events and activities. Please take a look at the Student Life Virtual Magazine that comes out weekly to see all of the exciting opportunities for our students!
There have been lots of questions about the re-opening of the fitness center and gym. We are happy to announce that the NVC sports teams (volleyball, basketball, and cross country) are beginning their selection process for spring 2022 teams and will have tryouts as early as next week. Please have students contact our Student Life department if they are interested in our sports teams. At this point, the fitness center and gym do not have “open hours” for students, faculty, and staff, but we are looking forward to opening those spaces up in the spring 2022 semester.
Toward the end of the semester, I encourage you to participate in the NVC Holiday Selfie Station with multiple opportunities to take photographs with friends and colleagues utilizing some great holiday backdrops.
Don’t forget that our NVC Advocacy & Resource Center is open in Huisache Hall and has FREE Grab ‘N Go food/drinks in the foyer area.
As you are out and about on campus, feel free to drop by our newest building, Desert Willow Welcome Center for a tour (and don’t forget to grab lunch at one of the food trucks just outside DWWC)!
