Northwest Vista College STEAM Blast Spring 2022 is a Face-to-Face, Hybrid (Face-to-Face and Zoom) and Virtual (Zoom) event April 5 and 6, funded through Student Life.
We have interdisciplinary interactive sessions on STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math). Many sessions are focused on creation and crafting in support of our STEAM Makerspace in MLH-214 (partially funded through the Alamo Colleges Innovation Grant).
Our Scavenger Hunt helps students identify labs and student support resources on campus that they may have missed while NVC was remote. We have multiple round-table question and answer sessions on transfer/careers. Our NVC engineering students also present their mid-semester projects. Students who attend are entered into a drawing for financial awards.
We hope that you were able to participate in our Spring 2022 event. We are planning our Fall 2022 STEAM Blast for mid-semester. Definitely join us in Fall for more interdisciplinary sessions and student experiential learning.
