Thank you so much for this scholarship. My family has worked very hard to give me the opportunity to succeed in life, but they have struggled. I want to achieve my dream to graduate from college so I can give back to my family and show them their hard work paid off. Thank you for the opportunity to make myself and my family proud.

Elijah and Azari are thankful for the Boys and Girls Club Summer Food program provided by the San Antonio Food Bank, one of the agencies funded by the United Way of San Antonio and Bexar County. “We can think better when our stomachs are full, says Azari, 8, who wants to be a veterinarian.
When you support theFund, you contribute to Advancing Arts Education through fundraising for scholarships for area students to attend local arts organizations education programs, field trips for San Antonio students to local museums and theatres and cultural events; and support for parents and children to attend local exhibits and performances; and promoting arts education programs in area schools.
There are no fancy graphics, no photographs. Just simple words with one simple message—thank you.
Record-High Participation
This year, 131 employees, an all-time record for participation in the campaign, contributed $41,163 to NVC scholarships and programs, Alamo Colleges scholarships and programs, the United Way and theFund.
The goal was to improve and we did. Last year, 118 employees contributed $39,067. This year, the number of givers in the campaign increased more than 10 percent over last year.
Applause. More applause.
And, the Dr. Jacqueline Claunch Legacy Scholarship had more donors than any other campaign fund. Thanks to the generosity of 52 donors, that scholarship is $7,628 closer to reaching the $20,000 fully endowed goal.
