Congratulations to four Northwest Vista College employees for being graduates of the Alamo Colleges Leadership Academy for Success or ALAS.
ALAS takes a process-oriented approach to developing new mindsets to lead the whole person and identify ways to unleash the full creative potential of people. This was the eighth graduation ceremony of the program that takes participants through a nine-month journey. This year’s graduation ceremony was held at NVC’s Palmetto theater.
Alamo Colleges Chancellor Dr. Bruce Leslie gave the closing remarks and congratulated the ALAS graduates. He told the story of how the Disney company early in its development created its own leadership program, similar to ALAS, to help its employees be the best they can be. What sprang from that, he added, is a very successful company.
“Let’s think big and make this the best community college in the world,” he said.
The four NVC ALAS graduates are:
