Five Northwest Vista College and two Alamo Colleges employees were recently recognized at the district-wide ALAS completion ceremony on May 6.
The ALAS Class XV graduates are:

Along with the graduates, NVC Vice President for Student Success Debi Gaitan and NVC Vice President for College Services Erin Sherman were recognized as Alamo Colleges District Essential Leaders. They were recognized for “modeling the way, and for (her) continued support and commitment to the development of leaders within the Alamo Colleges District.”
Debi, who was one of the first ALAS participants, has received this award for at least seven time.
The Alamo Colleges Leadership Academy for Success (ALAS) is a leadership program designed to develop participants in the area of personal and professional growth. Participants learn a process-oriented approach to acquire new mindsets, skillsets and tools, which will help move the Alamo Colleges District to a culture of organizational excellence and effectiveness.
