Interim Vice President of Academic Success Dr. Richard Drum was honored Sept. 30 for his service to Northwest Vista College.
As Dr. Drum returns to his faculty assignment at UTSA, NVC will continue its nationwide search for a new vice president.
In the meantime, Amy Whitworth, Ph.D, dean of NVC Arts and Sciences will serve as interim vice president for Academic Success beginning Oct. 1. To learn more about Amy, go here.
While at NVC, Dr. Drum also established an NVC innovation fund called, the Jane Moser Drum Encouragement Fund, and will match dollar-for-dollar the first $5,000 contributed to the fund. If $5,000 is raised by Oct. 25, he will add an additional $1,000. His wife, Jane, passed away in February.
