Congratulations to Yolanda “Yolo” Reyes Guevara, who begins her new role as Northwest Vista College’s Director of Enrollment Services on March 1.
Yolanda has spent the last 13 years preparing for this opportunity. She has served in various capacities throughout her career in higher education to include: recruiter/advisor at Palo Alto College and St. Philip’s College, director of Student Life at St. Philip’s, adjunct faculty member for both NVC and San Antonio College, and for the last six-and-a half years has been NVC’s senior coordinator of Student Success with a focus on Outreach and Recruitment.
In addition to working full time, Yolo has been undertaking the responsibilities of working on her PhD in Adult, Professional and Community Education at Texas State University. She has completed her coursework, and is currently focusing on researching and writing her dissertation: “Understanding Persistence of Latino/a Adult Students at the Community College.”
