[image 1]The Vista Scholarship Dollars give by text campaign received a special boost through radio. On March 19, KTFM and Tony Cortez broadcast live from the patio of NVC’s Cypress Campus Center.
Los Roberto’s Taco Shop, a new member of the NVC Business Council, generously sponsored the promotion for the campaign and is collecting donations for NVC scholarships at its three San Antonio locations. Ubaldo Castaneda is the owner of the three restaurants.
[image 2]Vista Scholarship Dollars is a mobile giving campaign to raise scholarship funds for deserving students in need at NVC. Most cell phone users can send a $10 donation for NVC student scholarships by texting VISTA to 20222. Contributors should reply “YES” when they receive the confirmation message.
Donors can give multiple times per month depending on their carrier. Donations are tax-deductible and are billed through monthly cell phone bills. Messaging and data rates may apply.
[image 3]Another way to give is by calling (210) 547-9722. After calling the number, you will have the option of selecting to hear the message in English or Spanish and then you will receive a text message asking you to reply with the word “YES” to confirm your $10 donation.
Additional radio promotions are also planned on Spanish language stations. Alejandra Palomares of L & L Media has assisted in NVC in securing sponsorship for these promotions.
