Northwest Vista College Workforce Continuing Education is partnering with Alamo Colleges Corporate College to offer state-funded training for Veterans (employed and unemployed) with a DD-214.
“Just in Time IT Boot Camps” in CompTIA Network+, CompTIA A+, and CompTIA Security+ are scheduled to begin on June 1. Each two-week boot camp is being offered in hybrid format which includes a combination of classroom and online training.
Prior to registering for a specific boot camp, the state requires veterans to participate in the General Assessment of Instructional Needs (GAIN) exam. Eligible veterans may only select one boot camp to attend. Certification testing will be provided to participants upon successful completion of a boot camp.
This is a great opportunity for our veterans to enhance their workplace skills and become CompTIA certified at the end of training. Interested veterans can call 210-485-0880 for further information; or stop by the Continuing Education office in Mountain Laurel Hall, room 234.
