Three executives of GM Financial and a representative of the San Antonio Economic Development Foundation recently toured the NVC campus and met with NVC President Dr. Ric Baser.
GM Financial will be opening a new 100,000 square-foot facility across the street from the college and is expected to employ about 700 people. The complex is scheduled to open in April 2017.
Participating in the tour were Denise Kouri, vice president of human resources; Lacy Gabor, assistant vice president of human resources; and Wayne Saiz, senior vice president from GM Financial; and Tom Long, executive vice president of recruitment, with the San Antonio Economic Development Foundation.
Pat Fontenot, NVC dean of Workforce Education and Training, led the tour which included stops at various buildings on the campus including the Business department and the Veteran’s Center in Pecan Hall, Workforce program classrooms and the Palmetto Center for the Arts.
GM Financial representatives also participated in the NVC Mini Job Fair and a speakers panel for the NVC Business Student Organization.
