At the Dec. 9 Bragging Breakfast, several Northwest Vista College employees were recognized for their achievements and contributions.
- Elsa O’Campo, Education discipline coordinator, completed her Ph.D program in Leadership Studies from OLLU.
- Mary Ramirez, DPS officer, completed her MBA from Texas A&M University – SA, and she was selected the December Alamo Colleges Employee of the Month.
- Mellissa Marlowe, assistant professor of Drama, was made Honorary Squadron Commander of the 637th International Support Squadron at Lackland AFB.
- Faculty members Heidi Hunt-Ruiz, Eddie Bishop and Anna Harwin in the Math Engineering Department had their proposals accepted by NADE Conference. Read more here.
- Students and faculty member, John Campbell, stayed up and participated in a 24-hour game marathon to raise $395 ($250 goal) for the Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals.
- Beverly Evans received the HR Service Partner Award.
- The NVC’s President’s Office work study Jesus Jimenez recently completed his Associates in Liberal Arts and is transferring to Texas A&M SA in the spring to pursue his BA in Communication.
- Tiffany Rico, an intern in the NVC Public Relations office, just received her bachelor’s degree from Texas A&M San Antonio.
- NVC IT’s Larry Trejo was nominated the December Employee of the Month.
