Team spirit and a lot of laughter was in the air for the first Northwest Vista College 4DX Summit “Celebrating Spring and Summer 2014 WIG Accomplishments,” which brought different areas of the college together to showcase their scorecards or dashboards for their Wildly Important Goals (WIGS).

NVC Vice Presidents Jimmie Bruce, Julie Pace and Debi Gaitan took the Ice Bucket Challenge, along with NVC President Dr. Ric Baser.
[image 1]Northwest Vista College joined three other Alamo Colleges in the consolidated scholarship application judging event held Sept. 19, at the Workforce Center of Excellence.
[image 1]Employees were treated to a celebration breakfast on Sept. 26 to thank them for giving to the Employee Giving Campaign last year that brought in $39,067 due to their efforts.
Northwest Vista College Public Information Officer, Melissa Monroe-Young, successfully completed the Examination for Public Relations (APR) on August 29, entitling her to use the APR professional designation.

[image 1]Deanna Villarreal recently retired from NVC. She started off as a work study and worked for Alamo Colleges' district office, St. Philip's and eventually Northwest Vista College for a total of 30 years.
[image 1]Popular Latino artist, cartoonist and radio talk show host Lalo Alcaraz brought his humor, political satire and personal story to an audience of Northwest Vista College students, faculty and staff this week.
