“It is now our turn to pass on this award to another deserving Wildcat Spirit winner. It is our pleasure and joy to pass the NVC Wildcat Spirit Award to Dustin Smyth!
We as well as many others in our department, I’m sure, can all agree that Dustin demonstrates the Wildcat Spirit of Northwest Vista College. To say the least, she has tirelessly devoted herself to the education of our students. She has truly exemplified the goal we are set to accomplish each and every day here as part of the Alamo Colleges, which is to educate and prepare students for their future. Her passion and dedication to her students is simply amazing to witness.
Even with the recent obstacles the Geology department has faced, she has managed to keep everything in her department running smoothly with a smile and positive outlook. Whether she is in lecture or taking part in departmental events, her passion and knowledge radiates whenever she is with our students. It is for these reasons that many within our department would agree that Dustin is more than deserving of the NVC Wildcat Spirit Award.
