The Tom Morton Sandoval Rey Feo LULAC Parent/Child Scholarship provides scholarship funds for a parent and for a child under 6 years of age.
This unique opportunity allows a parent to secure two years of tuition and fees for their child to attend an Alamo College upon high school gradation if the parent completes an academic goal within the Alamo Colleges. The child must be age six or younger at the time of application. For the parent, the scholarship will provide $250 per semester for four consecutive semesters (fall and spring only) if enrolled at an Alamo College.
The deadline to apply has been extended from May to June 15. Applications include a form, required essay, letter of recommendation and release form and may be submitted by email, mail or in person.
“This year, we are awarding 25 scholarships,” says Bertha Castellanos at the San Antonio College Empowerment Center which administers the program.
