Congratulations to Dr. Qiaoying (Joy) Zhou, NVC’s Math and Engineering Department chair, for receiving November’s Wildcat Spirit Award.
Northwest Vista College’s Laura Lawrence wrote:
“This person has always been extraordinarily helpful to me – the first to respond to a request for information, the first to volunteer in any way – as well as having a great deal of initiative to help others.
If I were ever stranded on a desert island with only one other person, this is who I would want there, not only as a terrific companion but as the person I believe would be most likely to figure out a way to survive. In fact, I wouldn’t be surprised if you saw us sailing off to the nearest land on a big fancy hand-made boat while laughing and enjoying a cold beverage. I am so happy to pass the Wildcat Spirit Award to Qiaoying (Joy) Zhou!”
