To commemorate Fiesta, Northwest Vista College faculty and staff wore their best Fiesta colors and outfits and had their own “Battle of Flowers” parade on April 7. It took less than 10 minutes!
For well over 20 years, NVC has been celebrating Viva La Vista and its Shortest Fiesta Parade. La reVista (paper) archives has magazine articles dating back to 2002.
This year’s parade – was led by NVC President Dr. Ric Baser, who wore a purple velvet cape. He was escorted by Alamo Colleges Police Department that took the long journey from Juniper Hall to the new Desert Willow Welcome Center. Several departments and teams participated in the parade from Student Success, the President’s Office, and College Services. The event is coordinated by NVC Staff Senate along with many volunteers.
