“I want to let you know that I attended Ruth’s (Prieto) College Connection presentation recently at Warren High School to learn more about College Connection and to learn more about Student Success.
(Ruth) had the students engaged and was handing out prizes. The presentation and Power Point had ALL the right information and great comparison data on tuition. I was in awe, I learned so much from her presentation I was embarrassed because I thought I should know this 'stuff.'
I also attended the Warren High School parent orientation. Before you go in to the auditorium, there were tables with college information from UTSA, Texas A&M, military services, NVC, and a few others.
NVC was the only table with bags, so guess what, when the presentation was over, all you saw was parents exiting with Alamo Colleges bags. Yolanda’s presentation was also short and sweet which was something the parents appreciated since Texas A&M took most of the time.
I know these ladies are experienced and have done this so many times, but I want to let you know to be proud of them. They did not pay me to say this! Sometimes we need to take the time and say thank you to the good work our staff members do. I am proud to say I know Ruth and Yolanda (Guevara) and they work at NVC!
