Congratulations to the Northwest Vista College Public Relations team for winning an excellence award for its online employee magazine, La reVista.
The team was given the award for recently overhauling the college’s magazine and giving it a new design and back-end software. The Public Relations Society of America San Antonio chapter gave the NVC team the award at its annual Del Oro awards gala on May 11.
The Del Oro awards is like the local Oscars of the PR industry. Award submissions were judged by a chapter in Michigan and La reVista scored high enough to win an excellence award. Local companies, PR agencies and colleges entered submissions in hopes for an excellence award.
Additionally, the co-emcee for the event was Melissa Monroe-Young of the NVC PR team, who is the current president of the local PRSA organization, which has about 200 members.
