NVC librarians Kristin Johnson and Linda Reeves recently presented in Houston at the annual Texas Library Association Conference about its involvement in the Assessment in Action (AiA) Project with Our Lady of the Lake University and representatives of the Association of College and Research Libraries (ACRL).
Northwest Vista College was selected to participate in the AiA project last year as part of a large grant from the Institute of Museum and Library Services that was awarded to ACRL. The NVC multidisciplinary team includes employees from Student Success, College Services, and Academic Affairs and involves finding a relationship between key performance indicators and information literacy. NVC will be continuing this study over the next five years.
