In every team and department at Northwest Vista College, there are always great stories to tell that show faculty and staff going above and beyond.While it’s hard to capture every story, we hope to periodically share in this space some of the major accomplishments or projects that are taking place. Members of the executive team will write about important topics that they feel NVC employees should be made aware of.

I hope everyone has been enjoying a great semester filled with exciting initiatives that support our students. A big thanks goes to Kelly Blanco, NVC Student Life coordinator, for the rollout of one such initiative called OrgSync. It is an online resource that is already proving to
be an effective tool for our students.
OrgSync is designed to streamline the processes for engaging students in activities that take place outside the classroom. At the beginning of the fall 2016 term, NVC students were notified about OrgSync and as a result we have created 32 online portals for various student clubs, organizations and programs.
The portals are used to communicate information about college activities and opportunities for students to get involved. OrgSync also provides a way for NVC students to build a co-curricular transcript that displays their involvement in activities such as participation in student clubs & organizations, college events and community service.
In less than two months, 900 students, faculty, and staff have joined NVC’s OrgSync community. We hope to see that number continue to grow and we would appreciate your help in getting the word out to students about signing up for OrgSync.
These are the steps a student takes to create an OrgSync account:
- Log into ACES
- Go to the STUDENT TAB
- Select
- Sign in with ACES ID on the top right
- First time users create a profile
