Congratulations to three faculty members – Heidi Hunt-Ruiz, Eddie Bishop, and Dr. Anna Harwin – of NVC’s Math & Engineering Department.
Their proposal, “Project Math Paths: More Graduates & Better Success!” has been selected to be included as a 50-minute session at the 41st Annual Conference of the National Association for Developmental Education in Oklahoma City in March.
The presentation will be about deemphasizing college algebra as the dominant freshman math course by stimulating the growth of alternative paths. The NVC presenters will share their struggle to build, and populate these paths and elicit audience stories and lessons.
