Engaging with the West Side Community

On Oct. 25, members of Northwest Vista College’s Public Relation’s team took part in the annual Halloween event at the West Side Girl Scouts Center called “Ghouls Night Out.”

Over 600 families, vendors and volunteers took part in the evening event that was open to the whole community. Lisa McDaniel, Melissa Monroe-Young and Paul Vallejo from PR and Sonia Hunt from the NVC Recruitment team handed out NVC and HalloVista flyers, candy and popcorn. Paul was also on the microphone making announcements about NVC and HalloVista.

Additionally, NVC contributed funds to pay for a photo booth for attendees to take pictures in their Halloween costumes. Attendees got photo strips that included the NVC logo. One person, who attends the event every year, said NVC had the best-decorated room in all the years she’s been there.
