COVID-19 Family Helping Families Emergency Relief Fund To support Alamo Colleges family through this crisis, the Alamo Colleges District established a COVID-19 Family Helping Families Emergency Relief Fund to provide emergency funds for employees who are in need of assistance. More information on the Emergency Relief Fund can be found in the Employee Remote Toolkit, including the application and donation form. Families First Coronavirus Response Act and FMLA Expansion The Families First Coronavirus Response Act (FFCRA) is a new law designed to provide relief to those affected by COVID-19. The law has two key parts: Emergency Paid Sick Leave and Emergency Family and Medical Leave Act Expansion. The FFRCA is available to eligible full-time and part-time employees at the Alamo Colleges District. Please read the FFCRA Questions & Answers to see what benefits are available to you. COVID-19 Vacation Carry-Over Due to the impact of COVID-19 on vacation travel plans, the vacation leave carry-over maximum will be increased this year. Employees are now able to carry over a maximum of two-and-a-half (2.5) times the amount of their annual vacation leave accrual to the next fiscal year, instead of the usual two (2) times the amount. Visit the Remote Toolkit to see how much vacation leave to carry-over.
