Vacation Carryover

Due to the impact of COVID-19 on vacation travel plans, a one-time increase has been approved for this year’s Vacation Carryover. This year, employees will be able to carry over a maximum of three (3) times the amount of their annual vacation leave accrual to the next fiscal year. To learn more, go to this link.

FMLA:

Leaves of Absence: FMLA – When you or a loved one experiences a serious health condition that requires you to take time off from work, the stress from worrying about keeping your job may add to an already difficult situation. The Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) may be able to help. Whether you are unable to work because of your own serious health condition, or because you need to care for your parent, spouse, or child with a serious health condition, the FMLA provides unpaid, job-protected leave. Leave may be taken all at once, or may be taken intermittently as the medical condition requires. Reach out to your campus Benefits Coordinator, Christina G. Personal Benefits Enrollment Period

  • For benefits eligible faculty and staff who are participants in Employees Retirement Systems of Texas (ERS) Group Benefits Program.
  • ERS will mail out your Personal Benefits Enrollment Statement (PBES) in the beginning of June 2021. Your PBES will provide information of your current elections and plan options for the next plan year.
  • Participate in Summer Enrollment to make any benefit changes for the next plan year beginning September 1, 2021 to August 31, 2022.
  • Visit www.ers.texas.gov for Summer Enrollment information or email your campus Benefits Coordinator, Christina G. Cano, at ccano57@alamo.edu.
