Power of Influence – Public Relations Conference

Director of Marketing and Strategic Communications Renata Serafin attended the International Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) ICON 2022 conference from Nov. 13-15. 

Titled “The Power of Influence,” the PRSA ICON 2022 conference, held in Denton, Texas as well as virtually, brought over 1,200 communication experts from around the world.

More than 100 sessions and 7 keynote speakers presented on topics ranging from DEIJ in communications as well as brand purpose, employee engagement, crisis communication, reputation management, communication stories from Ukraine, and the power of multiorganizational alliance.

This year, PRSA celebrates its 75th anniversary of advancing the profession of public relations through the PRSA Code of Ethics, creating an Accredited in Public Relations (APR) credential, and supporting a strong network of Chapters across the U.S. The organization also guides and provides mentorships for student chapters and offers student scholarships.

Other attendees at the PRSA ICON 2022 conference from Alamo Colleges District included Board Secretary Dr. Lorraine Pulido (District 4) and Alamo Colleges Communications Coordinator Denise Blaz.   

There were a total of 12 attendees at the PRSA ICON 2022 conference from San Antonio.
