Northwest Vista College, Palo Alto College and St. Philip’s College have been named to the 2017 Military Friendly® Schools list by Victory Media, the premier media entity for military personnel transitioning into civilian life.
This year’s recipients were chosen from a list of more than 8,800 colleges, universities and trade schools throughout the nation that support America’s military service members and veterans. The schools on this year’s list exhibit leading practices in the recruitment and retention of students with military experience. This is Northwest Vista College’s seventh consecutive year to be named as a Military Friendly School.
Recipients of the Military Friendly designation are determined through surveys completed by current students who are veterans or VA-eligible family members. These students answer a variety of questions about the college as a whole.
Each of the three colleges designated as Miltary Friendly have Veterans Affairs offices on campus to provide one-stop services for veterans and their family members.
