While it’s hard to capture every story, we hope to periodically share in this space some of the major accomplishments or projects that are taking place. Members of the executive team will write about important topics that they feel NVC employees should be made aware of.
Let us know about the positive things your area is doing to help students or improve processes by contacting myself or NVC Public Relations.

If you guessed d. 22% and d. 40%, you’re right! The number of online course offerings at NVC continues to grow, maybe even at a greater rate than you had imagined. NVC is responding to a lack of available classroom space along with increased demand from our students for online offerings, while ensuring that our online courses are of equivalent quality and engagement as on-campus courses.
As many as 50 – 60 faculty pursue online certification each year, a rigorous process that includes an 8-week course, development of a fully online course, one or more online reviews, and a final presentation, all meant to ensure our online classes are among the best in Texas. The Teaching with Technology team is also working with academic leaders to begin offering reviews and continued assistance for existing online courses and faculty. If you’re interested in becoming certified to teach online courses, please contact Laura Lawrence at [email protected] or 210-486-4850.
