A big Wildcat Roar!
As of Oct. 31, Northwest Vista College employees raised $51,418.64, just a little over its goal of $50,000 and had a 37% participate rate, lower than anticipated goal of 51%. Those dollars raised over the past 12-week campaign will help enroll new students and help retain current students!
A big shout out to the Employee Giving team over the last four months for bringing that Wildcat Spirit. It was evident in many of the virtual events – 35 winners participated in the NVC Gives Back Virtual Spirit Week on the NVC Employee Facebook page, or participated in a NVC Gives Back event.
Giving Across the Colleges and District
Overall, the employee giving campaign across the colleges and Alamo Colleges District raised a record-setting $345,878, which makes it the most successful employee fundraising effort ever at the Alamo Colleges District.
With 51% of employees participating across the colleges, employees can now brag they work at a majority-donor workplace. All of the dollars raised will stay within our local community and the vast majority of gifts have been directed to support Alamo-specific initiatives. This includes AlamoPROMISE, scholarships, programs, student advocacy centers, and of course the Alamo Colleges Student Helpline, which was developed through our partnership with United Way of San Antonio and Bexar County.
