ONE-TIME ACCESS
Northwest Vista College employees who are in critical need to access NVC facilities during the COVID-19 closure can request one-time access permission through the following process below. Final access approval will be approved by Erin Sherman, Vice President for College Services. Access needs to be requested by employee as follows:
Provide the Following Information to Your Supervisor:
- Employee Name
- Reason for access request
- Location of access request
- Time window of access request
Access Request Process:
- Employee requesting access should contact immediate supervisor who will review the request and assess need. All requests must include the above information (name, reason, location, time window).
- If the immediate supervisor deems access justified, he/she will notify the respective Vice President (or President for President’s Office). Vice President or President will further evaluate the need for the request.
- If access request is reasonably justified, Vice President (or President) will contact Erin Sherman via mobile phone for critical access to Northwest Vista College facilities.
- Erin Sherman will have final approval for granting access. If reasonable, Erin Sherman will approve access and communicate access permission to the requesting Vice President (or President). She will notify Alamo Colleges District Police of the one-time access permission.
Employees who access the NVC campus without prior authorization of this process will be asked to depart campus by Alamo Colleges District Police, and a report will be generated regarding the unauthorized employee access.
The health and safety of our community, students and employees are our main concern. Access requests that do not follow the above procedure will not be approved. Please follow all instructions by the Alamo Colleges District Police and be patient as we work through these times of uncertainty.
