Northwest Vista College has recently established a Strategic Initiatives Team to focus on alignment and shared understanding of strategic initiatives and measurably improve college performance and student outcomes.
This collaborative team is made up of the college’s four operational units: Academic Success, College Services, President’s Office and Student Success. The goal of the team is to identify and implement college initiatives that are informed by current and accurate perspectives and other relevant data as well as identify performance gaps, gains, and improvement opportunities, and make recommendations to NVC Cabinet.

Chair of the team, Dr. Janie Scott, said “the team is focusing first on conducting a landscape analysis of all major initiatives, planning cycles, and assessment cycles to ensure that as a college we are aligned with our strategic plan. Another priority for the team is ensuring that post-pandemic recovery leads to evolution and transformation for our college. It is important that we emerge from this crisis a stronger and more agile organization that can meet the changing needs of our students.”
