Minerva Muñiz began her higher education journey in 2001 and has worked at multiple institutions in which the last 13 years has been at Northwest Vista College.
Minerva began her tenure with the Alamo Colleges at Northwest Vista College, during which time she has enjoyed providing service and support to our students, faculty, staff, administration, and the community. Minerva quickly adapted to the NVC culture and became proficient in the utilization of internal systems and processes.
After a year with NVC, Minerva was selected for the position she currently holds, administrative Assistant to the President. In this role, Minerva worked for Dr. Jaqueline Claunch for eight years, until Dr. Claunch’s retirement. Since then, Minerva has been providing support to NVC’s current president, Dr. Ric Baser. She assists the Executive Cabinet, director of Grants Development, project facilitator, Human Resource generalist, and an array of faculty and staff across the College.
The Alamo Colleges District value which Minerva best identifies with, and which is her favorite, is the value of collaboration. It is clearly evident in all that she does and enjoys working in teams. Minerva is genuine in her desire to learn from others, encouraging trust and communication within the teams and among the individuals she works with, while focusing on accomplishing the proposed goals of the team or project
