While it’s hard to capture every story, we hope to periodically share in this space some of the major accomplishments or projects that are taking place. Members of the executive team will write about important topics that they feel NVC employees should be made aware of.

A Message to Share with Students to Learn with us this Winter:
For many of us, the holiday season is just around the corner. Some people don’t celebrate the holidays, but they still enjoy time with friends or family members. Or, they may just relax between the fall and spring semesters. Others would like to spend their time productively and may revisit or create new goals. People looking to be productive should consider taking a course for college credit at Northwest Vista College this winter break.
Northwest Vista College knows students need flexibility and choices in completing their degree or in gaining new knowledge and skills. That’s why we now offer courses during the winter break that last only 3 weeks. We are offering 19 different courses across the arts, sciences, and social sciences. Taking a winter course offers several advantages. You can gain college credit in a short period of time. You can get ahead in pursuit of a degree and focus on one class. You may take a class just because the subject is interesting, and the material will be presented in an organized way. Consider also engaging with interesting people to discuss art appreciation, history, literature, composition, communication, nutrition, criminal justice, chemistry, physics, nutrition, psychology, or political science.
If you are a returning student, you know the commitment that NVC makes in the attempt to ensure every student receives an excellent education. If you are not familiar with NVC, come find out why we are one of the highest ranked community colleges in Texas and in the nation. If you choose to take a course this Wintermester, take comfort in knowing we will have experienced campus leaders on call if you have any questions while you learn with us during this winter break. Classes begin December 14 and final exams will be given the first week in January. Begin the New Year a step closer to accomplishing your goal of completing your degree and starting a career or in starting a new path. For more information click on the link below:
