Northwest Vista College is excited for the grand opening of the NVC Food Pantry on April 25. Special thanks to Gary Bowling and Migdalia Garcia for the time and effort put forth to make this a reality. Please join us next week to officially celebrate the NVC Food Pantry.
Incorporating the food pantry on campus is a critical step to helping many of our students on their educational journeys. Now students have a place to go to give them or their families some emergency food and hopefully keep them persisting in the classroom. Retention is one step closer to graduation and the more we can help students reach their goals, they will likely tell their children, families and friends that NVC is a top-notch college – academically and holistically.
Here are a few more details about the NVC Food Pantry grand opening:
- Vista Food Pantry! Grand Opening: Thursday, April 25 at 2 pm.
- The Vista Food Pantry is one of several advocacy initiatives, as well as, an important part of the NVC commitment to overall student advocacy.
- The Vista Food Pantry services NVC students, faculty and staff in need.
- Limited services began on March 18
- Employees are welcome to donate at the grand opening on April 25 in Mountain Laurel Hall, room 131 or in the Cypress Campus Center, room 109, or in any Vista Food Pantry donation box (located in every building on campus).

- Monday: 10:00am – 1:00pm Tuesday: 9:00am – 1:00pm
- Wednesday: 1:00pm – 4:00pm Thursday: 4:00pm – 7:00pm
- Friday: 12:00pm – 2:00pm
- First Saturday: 10:00am – 12:00pm
