It’s Time to Volunteer for NVC Cruise-Thru Commencement

IT’S TIME TO PARTICIPATE AND SUPPORT NVC GRADUATES! VOLUNTEER AT THE NVC CRUISE-THRU COMMENCEMENT

On Friday, May 7 at 7 pm, Northwest Vista College will host a Spring Commencement at the Dub Farris Athletic Complex parking lot. In order to keep our students, faculty, and staff safe during this time, the ceremony will be a “NVC Cruise-thru Commencement 2021.”

Show support to the NVC graduates and participate by celebrating with them! Volunteer your time for the following areas:

Volunteer Option #1: Sit/Stand in the Congratulations Tunnel! We are going to make a tunnel of faculty, staff, administrators, and community members with chairs along the parade route. Each chair will be placed at least 6-feet apart, and all volunteers will need to wear a mask.

Volunteer Option #2: Diploma Runners: Hand diploma covers to Dr. Baser/Board

Volunteer Option #3: Water Bottle Distribution: Hand out water bottles to graduates in cars

Volunteer Option #4: QR Code Scanner: Operate QR Scanners

Volunteer Option #5: Direct Cars/Stage Navigation: Direct cars on the route of ceremony path/navigation to stage area

Volunteer Option #6: Stage Set-Up/Decorations: Assist in stage set-up and decorations for the ceremony

Volunteer Option #7: Clean-Up Crew: Assist cleaning up after ceremony is over and store items

Volunteer Option #8: Wildcat Willie Handler: Escort and assist Wildcat Willie during event
