Northwest Vista College now offers a Fast Completion Incentive Plan that saves eligible students time and money. The plan allows students who earn 18-24 credit hours in the fall 2016 and spring 2017 semesters to get three to six FREE credit hours in the summer 2017 semester.

The incentive plan enables more students to achieve the life-long benefits of college, with less financial stress. Students can earn their degree in less time, save money and use their financial aid more effectively.

Students who earn a total of 24 credit hours in the fall 2016 and spring 2017 (9+15 or 12+12) semesters get up to six free credit hours in the summer, at a yearly tuition savings of $516. This allows them to earn the 60 credit hours needed for their degree in just two years.

Students who earn a total of 18 credit hours in the fall 2016 and spring 2017 (9+9 or 6+12) semester get three free credit hours in the summer, at a yearly tuition savings of $258, allowing them to complete their degree in three years. Out-of-district students can save even more. The free summer credit hours must be taken in the summer semester immediately following the qualifying fall and spring semesters.

Eligible students can attend Northwest Vista, Palo Alto, St. Philip’s or San Antonio colleges, which offer fields of study in a wide range of areas, including accounting, biotechnology, business, computer science, criminal justice, early childhood education, nursing and paralegal. All credit hours count toward the Incentive Plan’s free hours, with a few exceptions.

Students are encouraged to take hours within their program plan. The exceptions are: hours in which a student would be charged for 3-Peat hours cannot be taken as free hours under this Incentive Plan; and hours in which a student would be subject to the 27-hour additional tuition charges are not be eligible for free hours.
