Harvey Najim Pathways Scholarship Towards Bachelor’s Degree

Students from East Central, Edgewood, Harlandale, South San Antonio, Southwest, Somerset, Southside and San Antonio Independent School Districts with a 3.0 GPA can apply for the Harvey Najim Pathways Scholarship through April 2.

This scholarship will fund two years at the Alamo Colleges (San Antonio, Palo Alto, St. Philip’s and Northwest Vista colleges) and a portion of two years at a four-year university for a student to get a bachelor’s degree in high-demand fields, such as IT, Cyber-Security, Nursing and other health professions.

Students enrolled in dual credit or advanced placement math, accounting, science and computer technology courses will also be considered.

Up to 50 students will be selected to start in 2017-2018 and will each receive $2,500 per year for up to four years (if they maintain eligibility). Additional opportunities for financial aid and scholarships will be provided, plus students will have the chance to meet local employers and get jobs.

To be considered for the scholarship, first-time-in-college students must complete the online scholarship application at www.alamo.edu/foundation/scholarships , complete a paper certification form and submit their high school transcript. All materials must be received by the Alamo Colleges Foundation by April 2.

Will students that attend an early ACCD College and have maintain a 3.0 GPA be considered for this scholarship? Some will be receiving their associates and some will not. Please let us know if they will qualify. Thank you.
