Northwest Vista College welcomes George Brown, a new career experience navigator in the NVC Career Experience & internships team.
George has been in public education since 2002, working in high schools from Georgia, California and Texas. Most recently, he was an at-risk program coordinator for one of our San Antonio school districts.
He’s originally from California but has been in San Antonio since 2010. George obtained his B.A. in Psychology from the HBCU, Morehouse College in Atlanta GA, and his M.A in Education Administration from Lamar University. While he did not graduate from a community college, he has taken several classes at community college institutions just for his own pleasure or interests that center around music production and photography.
Here at NVC, George is now now employed as a certified career experience navigator in the Career Experience and Internships area where he is charged with assisting community members, faculty, staff, and students to increase awareness of the availability of experiential learning at Northwest Vista College, and to ensure that every student will have an experiential learning opportunity by graduation. George has also been an adjunct instructor for NVC since 2018, teaching Learning Frameworks.
