February Employee of the Month: Armando “Mando” Sanchez
What his peers say anonymously:
Armando always voices that what we all do is “for the students” and they are truly an educator at heart. This core is demonstrated by this individual, not only verbally, but in action.
As he works with external partners, he owns the work and sets goals for himself, our partners, and our students. If anyone ever has a conversation with Armando, you can see the passion he has have for serving students. He is always willing to step in at all events whenever asked, whether on-campus or off-campus. His flexibility and adaptability always allows him to handle any last-minute “pivots” that may arise.
Armando has a gift for encouraging students and always provides affirmations that students are taking the right step by attending our institution. The candidate is an outstanding asset for Northwest Vista College. With our ever-changing schedules, the candidate is always a flexible, respectful team player, using data to guide their work, and thus meet expectations from our community and remain engaged.
The NVC values the candidate exemplifies are: Student First, Can-Do Spirit, Respect for All, and Collaboration.
